Public bug reported: I am using Hardy 64-bit, with KDE4.0.3. When I click on "Network" in Kickoff, and then click on "Samba Shares" I get the error "Could not connect to host for smb://smb-network" instead of seeing my samba shares.
Steps to reproduce: 1.) Install KDE4 or metapackage kubuntu-kde4-desktop (I installed the metapackage) 2.) Click on the kmenu 3.) Click on "Computer" 4.) Click on "Network" 5.) Click on "Samba Shares" 6.) You should see the error in question Other than this the KDE4 remix of Hardy has become very solid, and this is the only shortcoming I face when trying to use it full time. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Unable To Access Samba Shares From Within KDE4 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/210693 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
