Public bug reported: This is in LUbuntu 25.04, first off. I open a new virtual machine, select the ISO I want, set it up as usual(not a problem with settings) and I get a strange permission error about it not being able to read the ISO. After messing around with permissions, I realized that under the "Users and Groups" setting, that I was not a part of the KVM group. I added myself and everything was good.
So the temporary solution is to add yourself to the KVM group, and the fix would be for a smart programmer to add the user to the KVM group when virt-manager is installed.
