Hi All,
I can confirm that as of yesterday (23/4/07) after performing an update
I moved the gdm.conf-custom back to its original place and restarted.
GDM started with original theme page loaded without any issue, it
appears to have been fixed ?
Thanks,
Adam

gdmgreeter crashed with SIGSEG
First I am Newbie. I am having the same problem with the greeter. What I
did was deleted the Ubuntu Studio Theme folder in the
/usr/share/gdm/themes/. This caused a different error.
"There was an error loading the theme UbuntuStudio Can't open file
/usr/share/gdm/themes/UbuntuStudio/UbuntuStudio.x
I can also confirm after updating this morning gdm-greeter crashed. Also using
ubuntustudio-gdm-theme
I can also confirm that removing the gdm.conf-custom restored the gdm
greeter for me.
If I can help out in any way let me know...

problem with fast-user-switching running at 100%

Thanks for the note, although that didn't seem to fix it for me. ??
hmmm..
I have had so many issues lately from updates, I think I might go back to my
Gutsy machine for a while ... I end up spending way too much time
tinkering.

In my case, I had recently installed the Ubuntu-Studio packages (and
Theme). After doing an update today 4/3/2008, I get this GDM Greeter
