when you plug the usb hard drive in and then boot ubuntu the system recognizes
the drive and i can mount and unmount the drive with no problems
i have copied and written 700 meg files with no problems, it is only when i
remove the usb cable and then plug it in
external usb hdd worked fine with hardy
now broken
have attached screen dump of the usb hd trying to boot and the error
codes from the system log

I've got the same problem with Hardy stable. The hdd works fine with
gutsy.. but not with hardy.
