At the moment, the developers are unlikely to work on this bug (as
discussed above). The new Opinion status will allow further discussion
to occur in the meantime.

I'm setting this to confirmed, as the bug is described in sufficient
detail to allow work to be done on it. Personally, I think this could
be solved by user templates or a Revert to default settings dialog, as
in bug #170572. It's up to the developers to mark this as Won't fix
if they don't
