better. As Xorg has improved this past year, an unfortunate side effect
of these improvements is that it has rendered several design assumptions
in displayconfig-gtk obsolete. So, starting with Hardy we are no longer
putting displ
I am also encountering this problem as well in Xubuntu Hardy 8.04 Beta.
displayconfig-gtk is installed but there is no menu entry. This makes
it difficult to set up older video cards and monitors where there is no
DDC support or the detected values are incorrect.
Dave - X.org autodetects most set
I see that this package is called displayconfig-gtk and it is installed,
but is not in the menus by default.
On my Dell Inspiron 9300 with ATI radeon x300 I note that selecitng a
driver appears to have no effect. In fact, there doesn't even seem to
be a "VESA" driver specified in /etc/X11/xorg.co
