same problem, but in my situation, upon pressing the power button the
session logs out and goes to the login screen. i want the computer to go
ask me what to do (hibernate, shutdown, restart, lock screen, switch
user) if i press the power button like it did when i had gutsy.

Thanks for your bugreport.
This sounds like gnome-power-manager got restarted during the upgrade
and then acpid took over. Its default action is to shutdown when the
power button is pressed. The /etc/acpi/powerbtn.sh script should be
improved.
