As has been pointed out already, grub legacy supports tab completion to
help you find devices and files. Grub legacy is no longer supported and
we have moved to grub 2, which has a proper ls command that will list
devices and files, therefore I will now close this bug.

Yes, but unfortunately my PC wasn't booting so I couldn't read the
online docs :)
I think prefacing the 'help' output with a similar line would be a good
way to go.

Hmm this is in Grub, not in Ubuntu..
My suggestion was that it should have commands to list devices & files rather
than rely on you knowing tab completion works.
Also documenting tab completion would be a good thing.

Places => Computer
to see all device that can be mounted :)
