I have the EXACT same problem too. Gnome-keyring's popup password window
freezes the desktop when I try to connect to my wifi router. For me, the
ALT+CNTRL+Fn does not work, I had to completely kill ubuntu.

that's not a gnome-keyring bug, xubuntu should either give it the focus
or not block
