Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to
look at all reported bugs in a timely manner. There have been many
changes in Ubuntu since that time you reported the bug and your problem
may have been fixed
This problem still occurs on Kubuntu (since 10 April). When I login I can see
the panel and all applets properly being displayed. When all is ready the
complete panel becomes empty. This occurs in about 50% of the cases.
The trick I found to temporarily fix it is:
- Right click on the panel.

Corrected issue by:
Starting Computer
Changing seesion at Login to Terminal
Running command "sudo aptitude update"
Running command "exit"
Restarting Gnome in normal mode
Panel is restored!

Same problem here. It's a Gnome problem at start (after login). I have
installed XFCE (it works) but I would like get a working Gnome again. Is
there a way to fix this problem at start or is it just a problem for new
