Problem is partially solved after daily update. Boot is now able to
complete, but my graphic card is not used properly and restricted
drivers manager doesn't detect it (was detected properly before partial
upgrade).

I've just booted in recovery mode and the process appears to be hanging @

hardware seemed to change from hda/hdb sda/sdb I think this was around the time

Upgrade, but instead a personal issue with fstab entries, and that this
bug is no longer Valid (in other words, I can close it)? Or do you
believe there is some issue? For the record I restarted just fine after
the Partial
i have the same problem... works with 2.6.24-12. after the upgrade to
2.6.24-15 i restarted ubuntu and got this bug too. i didnt change
anything. fresh install

Hi Mike, the issue is definitley with the partial upgrade, I was just
thought the change I had to make last week to some mount points might be
relavent - given what I saw when booting in recovery mode.

Same problem here ... I removed quiet splash from boot parameters, it
seems to hang just after loading NVidia proprietary driver.
Do the other person impacted also use proprietary driver ?

providing instructions on how you did it for people unaware), then we

- highlighting the kernel I wanted to load in the root menu
- pressing 'e'
- I then used the keys 'd' 'e' to edit the various line of the boot
