The following workaround addresses the (did I mention *incredibly
annoying*) wait at startup, at the price of sound. Silence, if not
golden, is at least relatively quick.
sudo chmod 776 /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist
sudo cat /lib/linux-sound-base/noALSA.modprobe.conf >>
/etc/modprobe.d/b
I am seeing the same thing. The sound still works; the problem is that
on startup, during "Loading hardware drivers", Ubuntu pauses for between
10 and 30 seconds. Which is *really* annoying...

Sorry until now I did not notice a problem. But I thought it seems
mentionable when such a error message show up. Because it could be part
of a greater problem.

I assume you are also experiencing sound issues because of these errors?
Care to describe the sound issue you are experiencing. Can you also
attach the output of doing 'sudo lspci -vvnn'. Thanks.
