M$ have started allowing free users to use a POP service, so I suggest
you start using that if you live in a live country. Also, this isn't
directly to do with Ubuntu, I suggest this be raised on the forums at
http://webmail.mozdev.org/ if you get any further problems.

I find this problem all the time as well.
The problem seems to be with the 'Hotmail' plugin. Each time the plugin
is updated (or maybe each time Thunderbird is updated) the plugin
'forgets' which mail it has previously downloaded, so gets them all.
