Martin, I followed the instructions but the proposed version doesn't
come up. Could it be because I have my Ubuntu all in Portugues (pt_BR)?

Alroger, probably your mirror is not up-to-date yet. You can either wait
a bit or download new package from here:

Why haven't you done it then? virtually all MOTU are volunteers.
Personally, I find complaints like this a good incentive to spend my
volunteer time on something else.

Well sorry, Scott, if I offended you. But I do not know what a MOTU is,
and don't know how to make new packages go into the Ubuntu repos. I'm
just a user trying to help.

Hi,
I do have libproc-daemon-perl installed, but installation of
ocsinventory-agent using apt-get still hangs...

Hey there!
While trying to install 1:0.0.8-3 I realized that there was some
unresolved dependency: ocsinventoryagent is dependent on libproc-
daemon-perl.
After I installed this package the common update with package manager to
1:0.0.8-1 worked just fine!
Bye,
Martin

Just confirmed, and the version in
http://ftp.debian.org/debian/pool/main/o/ocsinventory-agent/ works fine,
how it's supposed to.
The regular Ubuntu repo version hangs right after asking for conection
type and host name, and never concludes it's post-configurations.
Thanks!

You received this bug notification because
You should fetch Debian's package, which can be installed with no
problems in Ubuntu hardy or gutsy, from
http://ftp.debian.org/debian/pool/main/o/ocsiinventory-agent.
This package should really be upgraded in Ubuntu. It's unusable right
now and breaks the package system.

Subscribing MOTU-SRU per indications on IRC.
The obvious fix is to pull 1:0.0.8-3 from
http://snapshot.debian.net/archive/2008/04/13/debian/pool/main/o
/ocsinventory-agent/.
Attached is an interdiff between -1 and -3. There's an apparently
extraneous but inoffensive
alright, this is the same error i got. Is there a patch for it avivable?
