Public bug reported: I'm running an updated(2008-04-15) Hardy release on my Acer Aspire 3003LMi In previous releases i had a working battery meter but now it doesn't detect it at all.
When I try to run "cat /proc/acpi/battery/BAT1/state" i only get cat: /proc/acpi/battery/BAT1/state: Bad address = various info = uname -a: Linux onosendai 2.6.24-16-generic #1 SMP Thu Apr 10 13:23:42 UTC 2008 i686 GNU/Linux hal-find-by-capability --capability "battery": /org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/computer_power_supply_battery_BAT1 lshal -m: 12:52:14.020: computer_power_supply_battery_BAT1 property battery.charge_level.rate = 22570 (0x582a) 12:52:14.025: computer_power_supply_battery_BAT1 property battery.reporting.rate = 1525 (0x5f5) 12:52:44.019: computer_power_supply_battery_BAT1 property battery.charge_level.rate = 23768 (0x5cd8) 12:52:44.024: computer_power_supply_battery_BAT1 property battery.reporting.rate = 1606 (0x646) ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- no battery detected https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/217668 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
