Hello. If I am not mistaken, this bug is fix released. I am using Jaunty
Alpha 3 updated to 2009-02-20 and my bootup is as fast (if not faster)
as before Hardy.

You can you acpi=off just to try.
At boot time edit boot options and (for that boot session) use this option.
After see the results, reboot (ou use modprobe acpi) and use the normal
boot.

This is issue is reproducible every boot.
If it help, when I boot with the options acpi=off this issue doesn't happen.
