Looking at your last comment, it seems that it's a gmail issue, you
tested this with Evolution, Thunderbird and Claws and all of them have
the same issue, how this can be an Evolution problem? looks like gmail
to me rather, thanks.

I can confirm that this is indeed a bug. It is a regression, there was
no problem in Gutsy and it consistently doesn't work in Hardy.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Run any Hardy configuration (results are the same from Live CD and from
fully updated installed version)
2. Run any e-mail client (I tried E
