I don't think this should be a problem with Adept 3.0 in Intrepid. If
this happens with Adept 3.0 when Kubuntu 9.04 rolls around, it would
likely be a different issue anyway.

Kubuntu 7.10 to
Same here. We have this problem on 2 computers. We are using apt-proxy
as our repository in /etc/apt/sources.list.

Kubuntu 7.10 to 8.04 adept_manager --dist-upgrade-proposed no version upgrade
button
The suggested do-release-upgrade -d did a complete upgrade, but after
it, I was left with a completely broken system, with the kernel unable
to see any of my partitions and every filesystem superblock corrupted. I
don't know if this is because of the upgrade method or some other
problem: bug
I've had this on 2 computers. On the computer I wanted to upgrade to
8.04, I had to follow the instructions at
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/HardyUpgrades:
Press Alt+F2 and type sudo do-release-upgrade -d
This then allowed me to do an upgrade through Adept.
