I have the same problem with the driver installed by the driver manager. However, a manual install of the same driver version (169.12) from nVidia's website is not having the same problem. I'm not sure what is different about the drivers from the restricted- modules package and the drivers from th

Hi, David. If you're finding that the 169.12 driver solves the problem of the aforementioned web pages causing X to crash, then I think you must be doing something I'm not. Doesn't the Ubuntu restricted driver manager install the 169.12 driver by default? It was the driver installed by the drive

I'm confused. If I search Nvidia's site using Google, I can find driver 173.08, but if I use their driver selector (http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us) or click on the list of linux drivers (http://www.nvidia.com/object/unix.html), the latest driver available is 169.12. Does tha
