Now it works!
I went to System -- Preferences -- Keyboard and then to the Layouts
tab. I selected layout options. I selected Alt/win key behavior to
default (default option wasn't default).

Do you use the keyboard layout switching utility or otherwise a non-
default keyboard layout? There are several open bugs about problems with
keyboard layouts in hardy.

I haven't done any changes to keyboard layout. I have a finnish
keyboard, and ä and ö works well.
I'm pretty sure that the problem is with AltGr button, because | sign
(AltGr + ) doesn't work too.
