I can confirm that the hyperspace screensaver hack bombs out on my
savage equipped laptop as well. top shows it starts to allocate a
lot of memory. Running with valgrind it complains about Conditional
jump or move depends on uninitialized value(s). Last call reported by
valgrind before the screen
Here's one valgrind log that ended with Illegal Instruction. On other
runs it just keeps eating memory (as reported to ~200MB Virtual Size and
~50MB RSS in top).
