Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: compiz

Every time Compiz is updated, it breaks compiz due to wrong paths in the file.
COMPIZ_BIN_PATH is set to "/usr/local/bin" instead of "/usr/bin"
PLUGIN_PATH is set to "/usr/local/lib/compiz" instead of "/usr/lib/compiz"
COMPIZ_NAME is set to "compiz" instead of "compiz.real" which is what it should
be.

So the /usr/bin/compiz file has to be edited in order for Compiz to work
in Ubuntu. Even after editing the compiz file, every time it is
updated, it reverts back to the paths that don't work, so it breaks
compiz.

I have noticed this in Gutsy & Hardy. With each Compiz update in Hardy,
I always hope this will be fixed, but as of today, it wasn't. It would
be good to not have to edit this file to get it to work.

Thank you.
