1) you will have to drag it from the add widget dialog to the position
you want it, this should improve in KDE 4.1.x (Kubuntu 8.10)
2) this is caused by the fact that your plasma probably crashes at
logout `rm ~/.kde4/share/config/plasma-appletsrc` should fix this,
should also improve with KDE 4.1
Closing the bug as invalid, as the crash at logout only happens under
very certain circumstances (did you add other widgets as well? if not
please reopen the report)
