Hibernation is something different altogether. This is just about
Desktop Effects causing the password window to be hidden behind the
screensaver. This really shouldn't be an issue in KDE 4.1 (or KDE 4.2
for that matter) If it still is a problem in KDE 4.2 I'd recommend
filing a new report.

Yes, it's reproducible ins some way: Every time the screen saver comes after
hibernate that I've got this problem. I'm using Euphoria, that's an OpenGL
screen saver.
But it happened once or twice that neither the screen saver nor the login
window appeared after hibernate. But I guess that's an

The window does appear briefly for me, but then it disappears almost instantly.
The good thing is that you can still enter your password and unlock the screen.
I assume you are using kdm-kde4?
