I checked in 2.4, the results are really different. However, the C6 cell
contains really -996.295, but in the display it is rounded to 996.3. The
counterpart in A6 contains 996.3 exactly, which explains different
results, which are both correct.

The answer in 3) is correct the answer in 4) seems to be a rounding
error. I do not see this problem in Ubuntu 8.04 either. Can you
reproduce this problem on current version of Ubuntu?

Can you be more specific how that happens? Is (3) what is correct and
(4) what is incorrect? I can't reproduce that on hardy, w/ OOo 2.4
