This bug is fixed by the new upstream version 0.37.1. It's available in
Ubuntu now.

I can confirm this on Kubuntu Hardy 8.04. Same goes for the installation
of the latest develepment release. It appears that some part of
gstreamer is missing in kubuntu hardy.
