Lionel, I am also seeing these long emails from apt-cacher running an
ubuntu8.04 server.
I have seen your fix but have no idea what I am supposed to do with it to fix

I have an apt-cacher on both gutsy (1.5.3) and hardy (1.5.5). The patch
from the link above worked on both (same code, different line numbers--
it's pretty easy to find by the comment above it).
