Public bug reported: Binary package hint: emacs-snapshot
Description: Ubuntu 8.04 Release: 8.04 emacs-snapshot-gtk: Instalado: 1:20080228-1ubuntu1 Candidato: 1:20080228-1ubuntu1 Tabela de versão: *** 1:20080228-1ubuntu1 0 500 http://br.archive.ubuntu.com hardy/universe Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status Steps to reproduce the bug: 1 - Open emacs-snapshot-gtk 2 - Try to insert a accented letter, like "á" 3 - Nothing will happen, so after pressing space twice a blank square will appear 4 - Now try to make a "ã" 5 - Nothing will happen again, so after pressing space twice will make appear what I think is a asian letter What I expected: 3 - á 5 - ã If I open a file which already has a accented letter, it is showed ok, but I still can't accent new ones. I was able to get around it using the "set-keyboard-coding-system" command and setting it to "latin-1" but I think it should work out-of- box, as emacs22-gtk do. ** Affects: emacs-snapshot (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Can't use accented words out-of-box, instead blank boxes or asian letters are inserted https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/223273 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
