Still an issue with 10.04 LTS Lucid Lynx.
Driver is nvidia, but unsure if this is the issue.
Is this about how the Window Manager defines the layout of the screens?

I guess it's assign to the wrong package. I tried the nouveau driver
instead of the nvidia driver and the problem still exists. I think that
means that the window manager is to blame for this and not the video
driver. So in theory people with other cards/drivers should have the
same problem. Can

I think I have the same issue, let me expose mine.
I have a laptop, which is my primary screen and an external screen
connected to my VGA output, which is my secondary screen. I want to
make that secondary screen ABOVE my laptop screen. Fine, I've been
able to manage this through the
