Same here! I run hardy on an Acer aspire 1642 that has intel graphics. I
still have 1280x800 after hibernating, but the pixels are really big and
I have to scroll around to see the whole desktop. Restarting X does not
solve the problem, but reboot does.

Confirmed on an Acer Aspire 5610 after upgrade from gutsy to hardy.
915resolution package is installed, confirmed that changing resolution
manually in KDE system settings to 1280x800 does not result in the
expected resolution.

I have the same problem with a macbook, after upgrading from gutsy to
hardy. Using the screen resolution in gnome, after hibernate, does not
help to solve the problem. Resolution is ok after a normal boot.

I can confirm the exact same behaviour on a LG LW20 laptop with integrated i915.
