Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: network-manager

I use Ubuntu 8.04 with NM 0.6.6

If I try to connect to a wlan when an application is requesting an internet
connection (like a refreshing page in a internet browser, a login process in
Skype etc.) The system crashes or rather, the system doesn't reboot but I can
see the screen, I can't move the mouse arrow and not even use the keyboard,
something like viewing a screenshot.
Although I wait for many minutes, the situation is always the same. All I have
to do is cut the power off from the computer, but this is not a "clean"
solution. And also, it bothers me a lot.

** Affects: network-manager (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
