Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: nautilus

hello,

since 8.04 i have the following problem (didn't happen in 7.10):

Sometimes when using nautilus it doesn't react for several minutes and
it's obviously waiting for my samba-share. the share is available but
after his "break" this message shows up in kern.log:

Apr 29 22:57:07 ubuntu kernel: [46229.436006] CIFS VFS: Send error in
SETFSUnixInfo = -5

the line in /etc/fstab for the share is:

//1.2.3.4/share /media/pladde cifs
username=x,password=x,uid=12345,rw,noauto 0  0

this might be related: the share is on a small NAS-box (samba 3.0.2x)
which stops the harddisk after 5 minutes of inactivity so it takes 5
seconds to access it in this case. (this wasn't a problem in 7.10.)
