mv .config/audacious .config/audacious-play-next-bug
solves the problem (although all playlists will be lost)
actually after using diff I found that I had to edit
~/.config/audacious/config
[audacious]
no_playlist_advance=TRUE
obviously this has to be deleted (like when deleting all set
Sorry for reopening, but this describes my problem perfectly.
I have Audacious 3.5 (Debian package) an it worked yesterday.
I don't remind changing anything in the system since then.
Problem:
Terminal: audacious &
Drag and drop music folder into audacious
double click on first track
(or Playlist->
Audacious 3.2.1 / Ubuntu 12.04 / not affected.
Seems to be fixed some time ago.

Same issue here. It seems it only happens with mp3's. Flac, wav and ape
playlists run as they should.

Also had this problem on Hardy (x86) version (1.5.0). Doesn't even
affect ALL songs, but certain ones. Weird. Workaround seems reliable
though, thanks!

Hi Jan,
I got exactly the same problem. At first I thought it must be an issue
with the pulseaudio output plugin in hardy but it was not. What fixed my
problem was to disable the "bypass all signal processing ..." in the
audio preferences. now audacious advances to the next song without a
hitch.
