Public bug reported: I use Kubuntu 8.04 and I have upgraded from 7.10 without problems. I had the same problem with 7.10 but with a previous kernel.
I CANNOT boot with kernel 2.6.24-16-generic: the system *hangs after fsck* and I have to unplug my computer to turn it off and turn it on again. The hard drive seems to be blocked. I CAN regularly boot with kernel 2.6.20-16-generic, but I don't know which is the reason.
