Public bug reported: Tried with blanked (DBAN) WD 160gb hard disk (nforce 3 chipset) first, no luck. Partitioned with Western Digital Tools CD (for XP SP 2,) twice, partitions still not detected, either with 80gb or 160gp primary partition.
Partitioned whole disk successfully with Debian Etch 64-bit installer, but Ubuntu Installer still won't detect. Suggests a disconnect with graphical front-end in gparted. Running gparted separately from installer on Live CD yields same result, no partitions detected. This is a fresh install due to a motherboard swap. I'm trying to install from the alternate cd now. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Partitions not detected on install with 64-bit Live CD https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/225801 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
