Public bug reported: The installed script, /etc/openvpn/update-resolv-conf, for adding to the up & down commands in an openvpn config file, simply deletes everything in /etc/resolv.conf when run from a down command.
Because the computer no longer knows any nameservers to contact for resolution, internet connection all but lost. The script should copy the existing resolv.conf (or it's settings) to a backup in order to restore them when the VPN terminates. ** Affects: openvpn (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- update-resolv-conf script does not restore old values https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/226185 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
