upstream confirmed the issue, they look to the remote version before
closing to know if it changed, the bug has been sent to

I use a fully updated Ubuntu 8.04. I do not think the connection is
changed during the delay - though I'm not sure, because I wouldn't know
how to "change" the connection without actually using the program. I did
store the password in the keyring, but gave gedit permission to use it
only once.
