The fix does display the message correctly. However, I have discovered a
related bug: bug 231933 . Kaffeine always assumes that a DVD is
encrypted, whenever he fails to read it (like when there is no DVD in
the tray).

Patch attached from author Sergey Rudchenko.
It also fixes a couple of potential issues with codec install, a
possible loop (http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=161592), a duplicate
error dialogue and some situations where the codecs didn't successfully
install.

Thank you for your report. However, it's quite short and not very complete. You
want he DVD codecs to be installed by default? Or is there something else wrong?
If I'm right Ubuntu doesn't install closed codecs by default due license
issues. So the DVD codecs probably won't be installed by defaul
