I made above change, but noted that my python.py file also has the line
waitloop = None
AFTER the
bus.remove_signal_receiver (jobwaiter.check_for_jobs,
line. I left it, in case it is another fix made since May 30th 2008.
My uname -a is
Linux hostname 2.6.24-16-generic #1 SMP Thu Apr 10
