I had exactly the same problem (segfault in SECMOD_ReferenceModule) and eventually tracked it down to library path mess-up. I had a LD_LIBRARY_PATH defined plus some funny directories added in /etc/ld.so.conf.d/ that I once needed for some software to run. Cleaning all that stuff allowed me to
