Hi I'm runnig 8.10, the preview icons work just fine. but I guess the
bug can not be closed on 8.04 yet.

8.04 with all patches still has the issue. I have not reloaded an 8.04
system lately - applying all available updates right away verses one
that has been in use and gradually gotten updates as available.
I am thinking to do some testing with 8.10, so I will put that on my
list of things to test.

It's not about size, the same files in gutsy gave preview icons on every item.
