Try to *filter all messages* (aMule IRC/Chat) or to use a more recent
version of aMule (if you find an error in them do not communicate in
Launchpad):

Public bug reported:
When I went to sleep, I left amule working and when I came back it was
not running. I can't give you more details. It happened to me nearly 3
times. I remember that it used to do the same in Gutsy Gibbon. My
distribution is Hardy Heron. Thanks.
