Could you try the following: 1. Create a file named defaults.list (see attachment) 2. Save under ~/.local/share/applications (create directories if they aren't already there). 3. Restart your Gnome session. After this, it should be epiphany should be used in place of Firefox... It's not clear

How did you go about setting your default browser? Like you, using the Gnonme Preferences Capplet... Did you click on report a problem from Synaptic, or some othjer application ? I ask, because when try on Rhythmbox for example, it does launch Epiphany as expected. It's onlt Synaptic (so far
