Sorry for the confusion: I should have mentioned I'm refering to the PPC
port of Ubuntu, and that is where mouseemu is installed by default (at
least on my iMac). But indeed it is not installed by default in the
official Ubuntu (which I am also using on my AMD64 laptop computer).

How is this an xorg bug? I don't have mouseemu installed here, and it
should not be installed by default on any machine. So, it seems strange
that you have it.
