that doesn't seem to be a bug, the sidebar lists the directories and the
volumes, the volumes icons are an easy way to access to a mount rather
having to browse to the directory

I feared that you'd say that, because I prefer how it was in Gutsy - not
visible -, at least the other volume in the root directory still isn't. So the
conclusion seems to be, the different behaviour in Hardy is supposed to be a
feature not a bug.

everything is mounted fine, but that was not my point.
New is in Hardy, that the partition which is mounted within the home/user
appears twice in nautilus, with its folder name in home/user and as 50 GB
Medium, there in the tree view and also in the menu places. It is also listed
not sure to understand the issue, nautilus show media and user mounts as
special icons. could you attach a screenshot to the bug where the same
directory is listed twice?

first of all I don't have partitions mounted under /media, there are mounted
like I've described above.
It is correct that since Hardy the mounted partition in the home directory
appears twice in nautilus, with a folder symbol and with a volume symbol. A
