Public bug reported: I am running a Hardy system that has been incrementally upgraded from earlier releases via the update manager, through Hardy alphas.
The system is an ASUS two-core Opteron, w/ NVIDIA chipset. The gnome panel selection of System/Preferences/Sound appears to hang for about 10 seconds, but a look at dmesg reveals that gnome-sound-pro has segfaulted. This is recent behavior - it worked fine until a few weeks ago. The system is up-to-date as of 2008-05-15. lsb_release -rd Description: Ubuntu 8.04 Release: 8.04 [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ uname -a Linux rattler 2.6.24-16-generic #1 SMP Thu Apr 10 12:47:45 UTC 2008 x86_64 GNU/Linux lspci -vvnn and dmesg are attached. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Preferences/Sound segfaults in gnome-sound-pro https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/230744 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
