Public bug reported: Unable to install ubuntu 8.04. on Install system, system starts to load and comes up with
"Code: BAD EIP Value" and "Kernel Panic - not syncing". Same with live cd or install/alternate cd. This only happens on 32bit install. 64bit 8.04 installs fine. 32bit Fedora (9) installs fine. Hardware is an Asrock 2core1333-2.66G, 1gig ram, core2duo E2140 have tried it without any devices plugged in as well as normal system and same error (also with onboard sound/video disabled). Problem looks very similar to http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=629973 but no solution to get 32bit working.
