Title:
Blank screen after resume on HP Pavilion d
i have a new HP Pavilion dv6 (as of December 2010) and this problem (or
something very nearly the same) is affecting my laptop as well. When I
close the lid and leave it shut for very long the display is lost and
nothing gets it back. I have to turn off the laptop. In power
management it does not
Hi Tobias,
It might be best if you open a new bug. It seems you have different

As I said above, it is still an issue. The screen doesn't show
anything, e.g. no backlight, no keyboard responding in any way.

The Intrepid Ibex 8.10 Beta release was most recently announced -
http://www.ubuntu.com/testing/intrepid/beta . It contains the 2.6.27
Ubuntu kernel. It would be great if you could test and verify if this is
still an issue. The status is being set to fixed released until we
receive further feedback
I am still on Hardy but it seems after last week's update my dv6000
resumes properly. E.g. Screen comes back soon, no more alt+f7 trick.

This happens on my HP Pavillion dv6000 with Intrepid too, although I cannot
recover.

changes it. CTRL + ALT + F7 does not do anything, nor does blindly entering my
password.
