Intrepid: Flashblock plugin doesn't work in Firefox again
Hi all.
Excuse me for taking me so much time to answer. The fact is that I will
continue using Ubuntu 8.04 for a while and I will not be able to test it
in a newer version in my computer in the near future - just hardware
issues.
Sure you already know this, but just in case, this is an extract
We were wondering if this is still an issue for you. Can you try with
the latest Ubuntu release? Thanks in advance.

Dang. I was wrong. I really hate intermittent promblems. So hard to
trouble-shoot.
Today is the 10th at 19h16 and I just got a blank window. That's over
three days with no probs since that last post.
Flash block is back in and the game begins anew I suppose :-(
Perhaps flashblock exacerbates it

OK, after uninstalling flashblock I had two pain-free days with no blank
windows.

Disabling the GCJ plugin seemed to resolve the problem for a while, but then -
some days ago - I noticed that still the blank window appeared.
So I disabled the Flashblock extension and I it has not happened again - yet. I
am not sure this plugin is the buggy one, so please try uninstalling it.

On a whim, I tried deleting my .mozilla folder in my home folder. After
doing that, I haven't experienced the problem, even with flashblock
reinstalled.

I've experienced the exact same problem. However, I don't and haven't
ever had the IcedTea plugin installed. If it helps, I have a few
extensions installed: Flashblock, the StumbleUpon toolbar, and user
agent switcher. The behavior happens about 1 in 6 times I run Firefox,
and will always lead

Oh. excuse me. I forgot to write about the test i did.
Actually, I disabled the GCJ Web Browser plugin a week ago (IcedTea-
plugin) and since then Firefox didn't crash anymore. So, I assume it's
an icedTea issue. I find it a bit estrange, since conflictive pages had
no applets.
