I am confirming this with the alternate amd64 iso for 8.04.1
I Started with an LVM config:
/dev/sda1 = ntfs
/dev/sda2 = ext3 (boot)
/dev/sda3 = swap
dev/sda4 = lvm
lvm vg1 lv1 = ubuntu 8.10 amd64
Installed alternate amd64 iso for 8.04.1
I selected this partition map
